JSS Medical College, Mysuru was established in year 1984 and is having MBBS, MD, MS, DM, MCh courses. Institute also has 9 BSc Allied Health Sciences courses including BSc Respiratory Care Technology. The coursees are affiliated and subjected to the curriculum of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (formerly known as JSS University) and has Semester wise CBCS exam pattern as per UGC. BSc Respiratory Care Technology is conducted in Department of Pulmonary Medicine which has 4 Pulmonologists as Faculty and has facilities for PFT, DLCO, Sleep Lab, Allergy Testing, Respiratory ICU and Bronchoscopy in JSS Hospital. JSS Hospital (Teaching Hospital) is a 1800 bedded hospital with 40 specialties and has 8 ICUs with about 100 critical care beds. JSS Hospital also has Emergency Medicine Department, Neonatal ICU and Physiotherapy for exposure to Emergency Care, Neonatal Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
