Respiratory Care Week Celebration " RESPO- 22" at Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College Sri Devaraj Urs Academy Of Higher Education And Research Bengaluru, #Karnataka

The celebrations were inaugurated by Hon. Dean. Dr. Dayanand C D. Dr. Guru Prasad T J, Dept of pulmonology, RLJH& RC, Mr. Shareef N M IARC Bangalore Regional Committee Chairman, Ms. Ummi Salma Senior Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, Narayana Health, IARC Member Ms. Reshmi Chandran Respiratory Therapist BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital Kengeri attended the celebrations. The organizing team is led by Mr.Tamil Selvan (Lecture & Coordinator of the RC Program). As a part of the celebration, a Poster Competition and Drawing competition was held which was very informative; the judges and audience were impressed. Students also made eye-catching modules and outstanding videos showing the role of Respiratory Therapists.

The authorities of the University and IARC agreed in principle to sign an MOU for academic developments.

IARC Congratulates the Department of Respiratory Therapy at the University, the Organizers, and The Bangalore Regional Committee.

In pursuit of this mission, our primary goals include:

  1. Foster the practice of Respiratory Therapy of high caliber, with compassion for the relief of suffering of those with a variety of respiratory ailments, within and outside the intensive care units.

  2. Promoting high quality formal training in institutions that have the necessary infrastructure.

  3. Facilitate continuing education by holding conferences, meetings, workshops etc. to hone the skills of the practicing Respiratory Therapists.

  4. Engage in advocacy for the promotion of the field of respiratory therapy within the medical fraternity, with the various governmental/statutory bodies and the public.

  5. Unite and enlist respiratory therapists of India as members of the association and solicit their support to achieve the objectives of the association.
