National Media Coverage of AIIMSR-IARC Collaborative E-course

More than 1800 delegates attended the collaborative E-course held on 3rd & 4th July 2021. The two days event was inaugurated by Padma Shri Prof. Ravi Kant, the Director, and CEO of #AIIMSR.

Guest of Honor: Ms Kavita Narayan (MoHFW) delivered the inaugural speech. Special Invitee: Prof. Anjan Trikha (AIIMS-Delhi).

Jithin K Sreedharan, General Secretary of IARC and the Governor for Indian at International Council for Respiratory Care delivered the opening remarks. The event was noted by the presence of Prof. Manoj Gupta (Dean of Academics, AIIMSR), Prof. Shylendra Handu (Dean, AHS, AIIMSR), Prof. Dr Girish Sindhwani (HOD- Pulmonary Medicine), Dr. Satya Kant Tripathi (IMA-AMS), Dr. Anitha Shenoy (Editor in Chief-IJRC), Dr. Jerry Paul (President-IARC), Dr Suresh G Nair (Past President of IARC), Mr. Daniel Rowley (Hon. President of International Council for Respiratory Care-ICRC), and various other dignitaries representing AIIMSR and IARC.

Dr Manjush Karthika addressed the gathering on behalf of the Indian Academy of Respiratory Care and shared an overview of the program. Dr Lokesh Kumar Saini, Asst. Professor, Dept of Pulmonary Medicine, AIIMSR, delivered the vote of thanks.

In pursuit of this mission, our primary goals include:

  1. Foster the practice of Respiratory Therapy of high caliber, with compassion for the relief of suffering of those with a variety of respiratory ailments, within and outside the intensive care units.

  2. Promoting high quality formal training in institutions that have the necessary infrastructure.

  3. Facilitate continuing education by holding conferences, meetings, workshops etc. to hone the skills of the practicing Respiratory Therapists.

  4. Engage in advocacy for the promotion of the field of respiratory therapy within the medical fraternity, with the various governmental/statutory bodies and the public.

  5. Unite and enlist respiratory therapists of India as members of the association and solicit their support to achieve the objectives of the association.
