IN THE NEWS - IARC Members support to set up a mini ICU in a rural taluk hospital
IARC members join together to set up a mini ICU in a rural Government Taluk Hospital - at Adimaly in Kerala. There is no ICU facility in the 70 km surrounding this locality.
The team manages to set up that mini ICU with 5 NIV machines with advanced features, Air Conditioners, HEPA Filters, Transport Ventilator, Oxygen Therapy Device Supplies, and Extensive Training for the clinicians.
With the support of the Respiratory Therapy Departments of Amrita, Aster Medcity, and Rajagiri hospital a few volunteering Respiratory Therapists will be officially delegated to perform their duties in this setup.
Our members will provide virtual consultation and online training sessions to the Doctors, Nurses, and Ambulance drivers regarding the use of Respiratory devices based on their scope of practice.
