The Indian Association of Respiratory Care (IARC) is always aiming for the Academic and Clinical Excellence of its members. As we expand and grow, it is recommended that our RT members learn various aspects of Research and Publications, to enhance their professional growth. Keeping that in mind IARC calls for RTs, to join a pool of Journal Interns, in the Indian Journal of Respiratory Care (IJRC). The internship will be for a period of one year through virtual mode. You will not be charged any fee nor will you be paid any stipend.

The selected interns will be trained on various approaches of conducting research, writing various types of manuscripts, how to review a paper and other relevant areas related to journal and publication. A certificate will be given to those interns who complete the 1-year of the internship.

Minimum Qualification:  Bachelor Degree in Respiratory Therapy

How to Apply

The interested candidates are required to submit: A detailed CV with a focus on the published articles (If any),
A small write-up, briefing, “Why do you want to become a Journal Intern?” The write-up should not exceed 300 words.
A total of 10 most deserving candidates will be selected and informed via email.
Upon successful completion of the internship, the candidates will be inducted into IJRC as Reviewers, and their details will be published in the journal.

In pursuit of this mission, our primary goals include:

  1. Foster the practice of Respiratory Therapy of high caliber, with compassion for the relief of suffering of those with a variety of respiratory ailments, within and outside the intensive care units.

  2. Promoting high quality formal training in institutions that have the necessary infrastructure.

  3. Facilitate continuing education by holding conferences, meetings, workshops etc. to hone the skills of the practicing Respiratory Therapists.

  4. Engage in advocacy for the promotion of the field of respiratory therapy within the medical fraternity, with the various governmental/statutory bodies and the public.

  5. Unite and enlist respiratory therapists of India as members of the association and solicit their support to achieve the objectives of the association.
